A company is looking for an Employment Counsel.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary legal advisor on employment law, worker classification, and contingent labor issues
Design and implement scalable policies for classifying various worker types and advise on compliance
Monitor legislative developments and lead internal investigations related to employment practices
Required Qualifications
JD and bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
6+ years of labor and employment counseling experience, particularly with contingent workforce issues
Deep knowledge of employment laws, including Title VII, ADA, ADEA, and FMLA
Experience drafting staffing / vendor agreements and advising on governance for contingent labor
Collaborative and solutions-focused approach to balancing risk with business needs
