JOB SUMMARY :

Responsible for general accounting duties and data processing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Post and distribute customer invoices daily.
  • Apply customer payments and generate documents for deductions approval.
  • Communicate with customers regarding past due balances.
  • Receive payable invoices and route for approval daily.
  • Scan and electronically file AP, AR, GL documents.
  • Scan and file cattle receiving reports and scale tickets.
  • Post daily production data transactions and transfer data to reconciliation reports.
  • Stuff and mail accounts payable checks.
  • Complete daily and weekly USDA reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

  • High School diploma required, Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information while meeting stringent deadlines.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
