Field Service Manager

Job Summary :
The Field Service Manager at Belt Power, LLC., will be responsible for overseeing the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of conveyor belting systems. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of field service teams, coordinates service schedules, maintains service facilities and equipment, and acts as a liaison between customers, sales, and internal departments. The manager will also lead continuous improvement initiatives and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities Include :
Coordinate service work across assigned geographic regions
Confirm service appointments with customers and conduct pre- / post-installation callsDevelop and manage install schedules with customer service representativesReview service quotes and actual costs post-installationEnter service documentation and work orders into ERP systemFollow up with customers post-service for quality assurance and feedbackEnsure technicians maintain full field schedules with minimal office timeTeam Leadership & TrainingTrain service technicians on installation, maintenance, and repair procedures
Develop tiered training programs for technician advancementOversee administrative activities of technicians and provide necessary trainingCreate and manage on-call schedules to optimize labor and billingEnsure compliance with safety standards and OSHA regulationsFabrication & Installation SupportOperate and oversee use of conveyor belt-slitting machines, vulcanizing presses, and other fabrication tools
Perform belt slitting, lacing, vulcanizing, and Thermoweld fabricationsConduct on-site belt installations and ensure proper trackingSupport production cell fabrications and record stock changes accuratelyRequisition supplies and maintain inventory systemsFacility & Equipment ManagementMaintain service vehicles and equipment in safe working condition
Ensure garage facilities meet regional service needsManage make-and-hold inventory and ensure proper housing of materialsPresent quarterly continuous improvement plans and executes approved strategieGenerate and analyze service department KPIsCustomer Relations & InstallationBuild strong relationships with customer maintenance teams to promote service and sales opportunities

Work is generally performed in a fabrication shop environment. The noise level is moderately loud. Generally well-ventilated and well lit. Shop employees may be required to wear protective clothing. Operation of heavy equipment and strict safety regulations are required .
Physical Demands :
The Field Service Manager may lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls, tools, and other items used to make adjustments and / or minor maintenance. Will use hands, arms, back, and shoulders to handle, install, position, move items, and manipulate other objects. Could be in a standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting position for long periods of time.
Pay Range : $28.00 - $30.00 an hour
