Credit and Collection Manager Job Description

Base pay : $100,000.00 / yr – $120,000.00 / yr

Manager Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement and review the company's credit and collection policies and procedures
• Set credit limits and payment terms for customers based on their financial situations
• Manage the collection of outstanding debts from customers using all appropriate and available communication methods
• Resolve customer queries and disputes related to invoices
• Negotiate repayment plans with customers when necessary
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding collections and credit practices
• Prepare reports on the status of credit and collection for upper management
• Train and supervise credit and collection staff members
• Ensure that cash application of collected funds is timely and accurate
• Conduct credit checks on potential new customers
• Work closely with the sales team to assess creditworthiness of new clients
