• Work 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• 13-26 week assignments accepted
• Patient ratios of 1 : 6-7
• Every other weekend required and must be able to work holidays
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Float to similar units at least once per week is typical
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row and / or more than 60 hours per week
• 24 hours of unit orientation required
• Must pass EKG test for this specialty
• Navy scrubs required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications : BCLS
• Skills required : Med / Surg, Heparin protocols, Insulin protocols, Blood Product Administration, IV Heparin drips, Titration of Insulin drips
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Care for medical / surgical and telemetry patients
• Work with interdisciplinary support including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
• Expected to work Storm Team and / or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events
• May be required to report to work during mass casualty or disaster situations
• 8-10 hours of non-billable modules must be completed pre-start and annually Facility : This regional medical center provides comprehensive healthcare services as part of a larger health system.
