Listed pay scale is for entry level to advanced. Hourly rate will be dependent on skills, certifications and experience.
Job Summary :
The Maintenance Technician ensures the efficient operation of parts and machinery by completing inspections, tests, and working to identify and repair any issues.

Essential Functions :
Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.Prepares reports and documents work performed.Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.Uses lean manufacturing methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase production and reduce costs.Applies Kaizen principles to identify areas for continuous improvement and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes, reduce costs and improve efficiency.Uses 5S methodology to organize and maintain a clean, efficient workplace.Supports established safety and health standards to keep the organization accident-free.Collaborates effectively with Production, Logistics, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality. Assurance, and Safety to achieve operational excellence and ensure alignment with organizational goals.Competencies :

High school diploma, technical school education, or equivalent experience.Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.1+ year of experience as a maintenance technician or a similar role.Valid driver's license is required and must be maintained for employment.Basic understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures.Knowledge of OSHA and regulatory requirements.Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and other departments.Organized with attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Education / Experience / Certifications :
Technical training at a vocational school or community college in industrial / machinery maintenance and troubleshooting preferred.OSHA safety certification is a plus.Experience in an ISO 9001 : 2015 environment.Experience with MRP / ERP software and applications such as Sage, SAP, Oracle, or Syteline.Experienced in 5S methodology with demonstrated proficiency in organizing and maintaining a clean efficient workplace.Ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions.Experience within the commercial vehicle / automotive industry.Bilingual : English / Spanish.Travel Requirements : Occasional travel may be required.
