Direct involvement with cross-functional team that include safety, quality, engineering, and production. This position will provide technical guidance to other members of the maintenance team and other technical members of Silgan. Job Responsibilities :

• Installation, start-up, and maintenance of high-volume automated production machinery.
• Ability to perform changeovers on auxiliary equipment when needed.
• Assists struggling co-workers, will fill in where needed without being asked.
• Crossed trained in other multiple job functions, to help create bench strengths in other areas.
• Displays personal accountability, recognizes problems, and responds accordingly.
• Always goes above and beyond, stays above the line, and works as a lift for fellow co-workers.
• Adhere to current and future company standards for conducting work and safety inspections of equipment.
• Work safely and in a manner consistent with all OSHA and internal safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Education / Previous Experience :
• Working towards, or already completed, Mechatronics certification program. + Alternatively, 3 years maintenance and / or automation work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with general electronics, mechanics, and pneumatics
• Basic machine troubleshooting skills / ability to solve electrical and mechanical issues
• Ability to troubleshoot and re-concept mechanisms
• Positive attitude, strong / safe work ethic, and strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness to assist other cross-functional groups based on needs
• Ability to work independently and be proactive
• Ability to analyze, interpret and report data based on machine performance.
• Ability to learn, grow and adapt to changing business needs. Physical Requirements :
• Frequently required to lift and or move weights up to 35 lbs.
• Use of Personal protective equipment on the production floor (PPE)
• Physical requirements include but not limited to sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, stooping, crouching, color determination and grasping.Silgan Dispensing is a plastic injection molding company located in Macedonia, Ohio that has been manufacturing quality plastic products since 1973.
