Position Overview
The Floor Manager is responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient, and guest-focused front-of-house (FOH) operations during service. Acting as the connective bridge between the General Manager, Bar Team, and FOH staff, the Floor Manager upholds Vera’s high service standards, reinforces team culture, and ensures every guest leaves with a memorable experience.
This role requires a confident leader with exceptional communication skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to manage fast-paced service while maintaining calm and professionalism.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Service
- Lead floor operations during service, ensuring consistent, high-quality guest experiences.
- Greet and engage guests, assist with VIP and reservation management, and resolve service issues promptly and gracefully.
- Maintain a strong floor presence, coaching and supporting servers, bartenders, and hosts in real time.
- Ensure the restaurant ambiance (music, lighting, cleanliness, table settings) aligns with brand standards throughout service.
Team Leadership & Communication
Oversee the FOH team during assigned shifts, conducting pre-shift meetings to communicate priorities, menu updates, and guest notes.Provide in-the-moment feedback, coaching, and recognition to motivate the team.Collaborate closely with the General Manager, Bar Manager, and Kitchen leadership to ensure smooth communication between FOH and BOH.Help onboard and train new FOH team members in Vera’s service philosophy and operational standards.Operations & Administration
Support daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring checklists and side work are completed to standard.Monitor floor staffing levels and adjust as needed for flow and efficiency.Oversee reservation systems (Tock), coordinate with the host, and manage waitlists effectively.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.Track and report nightly sales notes, comps, voids, and guest feedback to management.Brand Standards & Culture

2–3 years of restaurant floor management or supervisory experience in upscale or high-volume restaurants.Strong understanding of FOH service standards, POS system (Toast), and reservation platform (Tock).Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.Ability to stay composed and lead under pressure.Passion for hospitality, food, beverage, and cultural storytelling.Flexible schedule with availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays.Compensation & Benefits
