Job Summary
The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for analytical reporting, volume allowance tracking, collections, and contract upkeep for the Purchasing department.

Skill And Knowledge Requirements Include
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred and 2-3 years experience in purchasing in a food and beverage environment. Accounting background is helpful. Willingness to learn and educate. A strong desire for continuous improvement. Ability to multi-task. High energy. Strong organizational and time management skills. Effective communication and organizational skills. Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people; ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to problem solve. Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel (to include Vlook-up formulas), Word, and PowerPoint. PeopleSoft knowledge preferred.
Physical And Mental Requirements
Ability to sit at a desk in front of a computer for the entire work day. Reading and writing work-related documents in English. Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English. Continually interacts with and receives verbal communication with other employees. Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 15 lbs. occasionally, up to 30 lbs. seldom. Equipment used : Standard office equipment (computers, phone system, fax, copiers, scanners, among others).
