Job description
Location: Regina, SK, Canada Job Type: Contract Date: 6/10/2022 Job ID: JZ615985610 Category: Information Technology If you are a talented and experienced Web Developer, David Aplin Group has partnered with our client to lead their next search for a remote contractual position of a Web Developer who will be responsible for enhancing the company’s cloud-based software using their leading-edge technology. This is a 12-month contract available to candidates Canada-wide and is offered as fully remote. Responsibilities:
  • As a member of the Development Team, you will play a role in enhancing the company’s cloud-based, commercially available software
  • You will be joining a dedicated team working with leading-edge technology in a clean, consistent code base across all projects, including opportunities to work with CI/CD Pipelines as Code using YAML and Azure DevOps, Docker, Yarn, Node, as well as integration with 3rd party APIs
  • The company has dedicated UX Designers and a centralized UI library to provide detailed UI guidance in order for you to focus on your code
  • You will be working in a Scrum environment on well-organized and achievable two-week sprints with a team of 5-8 other professionals
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in the field with exposure to building web applications using HTML5, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular 9+, ASP.NET Core, and Visual Studio/Visual Studio Code
  • Experience with building PaaS applications using Microsoft Azure services
  • Experience developing RESTful API services using ASP.NET Core
  • Experience with relational database design in SQL Database/SQL Server, and code-first migrations with Entity Framework Core
  • Knowledge in identifying security vulnerabilities (application or infrastructure) and execution of the corresponding improvement(s)
  • Experience with monitoring application error logs to identify repeatable bugs and executing corresponding improvement(s)
  • Experience with unit testing Angular and .NET
  • Cybersecurity experience/knowledge is considered an asset
  • Experience with Azure App Services (Web, API) is considered an asset
  • Experience with version control using GIT is considered an asset
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep) is considered an asset
