In your role as Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work very closely with the shop, sales and engineering teams in a uniquely blended role to see our custom conveyor products from concept to installation.

As owner of our content library, your role will be key for our engineering team to bring solutions to our clients with a swifter pace.

Overview :

In your role as Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engineering solutions to meet project requirements.

This role requires a high level of technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities :

  • Design and develop engineering solutions to meet project specifications and requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technicians, project managers, and other engineers, to ensure successful project completion.
  • Conduct detailed engineering analyses and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance.
  • Perform calculations, simulations, and modeling to support the design and development process.
  • Prepare and review engineering documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to select and evaluate materials, components, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices throughout the engineering process.
  • Conduct testing and validation of engineering solutions to ensure functionality, safety, and reliability.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to technicians.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies to continuously improve engineering practices.
  • Focus on expanding and improving our Library of Standard Parts.

Skills / Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering within the manufacturing industry, experience in conveyors preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in engineering principles, methodologies, and techniques.
  • Proficient in using engineering software, tools, and CAD programs. Including AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • 2+ years' of experience working with Smart sheets or iLogic and a minimum of 1+ years' experience working with Vault are required.
  • Proven track record of successfully completing engineering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work performed.
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or relevant certifications are preferred.
