Project Scope
This is an ongoing project to enable DSS to better secure, manage, implement, and maintain its SharePoint Online server environment. This role will directly impact the agency's ability to comply with federal guidelines and successfully meet program initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
The Senior Power Platform & SharePoint Solutions Engineer will be responsible for the administration, development, and optimization of SharePoint Online and the broader Microsoft 365 environment. This includes Teams, PowerApps, Power Automate, and Forms. The role will focus on secure design, implementation, troubleshooting, and user enablement.
Key Duties :
- Monitor health, usage, and compliance of the SharePoint Online environment to ensure secure, reliable services with minimal downtime.
- Design and develop practical SharePoint sites, lists / libraries, views, and modern pages aligned to business processes.
- Create system design documents, solution architectures, and maintain technical documentation.
- Build and maintain PowerApps applications and customized list forms for business process automation and tracking.
- Develop and implement Power Automate flows for approvals, notifications, reminders, file routing, and data capture (e.g., Forms → SharePoint / Dataverse).
- Collaborate on Microsoft Copilot for M365 / SharePoint implementations, as well as sensitivity labels and retention policies.
- Design lightweight Dataverse schema (tables, relationships, and security roles mapped to agency groups).
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across infrastructure, applications, and cloud services.
- Configure and manage both standard and premium Microsoft 365 connectors.
- Work with the security team to address findings, mitigate risks, and strengthen compliance.
- Provide recommendations for content retention, boundary control, data loss prevention (DLP), and access management.
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- Support after-hours or weekend maintenance as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Expert-level understanding and hands-on experience with :
SharePoint Online (design, administration, development, governance)Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Forms, Dataverse)Microsoft TeamsAzure & Azure AD integrationStrong knowledge of Microsoft 365 GCC tenant security constructs, including DLP, RMS / IRM, and Azure Information Protection.Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for SharePoint Online administration.Proven ability to deliver high-quality solutions on time while proactively managing risks and issues.Highly self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven professional.Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.Preferred Skills
Previous government project experience.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.Work Conditions
