Job Summary
Assists in the administration of all aspects of the CRA and Lending Compliance Management Program at the direction of the Bank’s Compliance Officer. Supports and monitors the Bank’s adherence to all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, policies and procedures related to CRA and lending compliance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive CRA program success by applying independent judgment to review, qualify, and document activities across volunteer services, donations, lending (community development and small business) and investments.
- Establishes, vets, participates and maintains relationships with community based, charitable, and non-profit organizations and ensures representatives of the Bank do as well.
- Participates and is a member of the Bank’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.
- Participates and represents the Bank in the local Advisory Board (LAC) of LISC or other equivalent CRA Community Development focused organization.
- Manage automated and manual import and reconciliation of all small business, community development, community investment, and services data into appropriate software.
- Contribute to the CRA and Lending Compliance Management Programs, including the development of policies and procedures, risk assessments, internal controls, self-assessments, issue management, and exam preparation.
- Monitor compliance with federal and state regulations including CRA, ECOA / Regulation B, Flood Disaster Protection Act, fair lending, HMDA, FCRA, Privacy / GLBA, and UDAAP.
- Conduct compliance testing self-assessments and reviews in coordination with the Compliance Management Program to evaluate effectiveness of internal controls.
- Provide cross-departmental support : provide consultation on procedure development, reinforce communication of the Bank’s standards, provide resources, and answer questions related to CRA and lending compliance; where appropriate, refer queries to Compliance Officer.
- Stay updated on changes in CRA and commercial lending regulations and industry best practices and assess their impact on the Bank’s compliance efforts.
- Assist in developing and conducting training for Bank employees on CRA and lending requirements.
- Gathers, coordinates and responds to lending compliance and CRA related audits and examinations as directed by the Compliance Officer.
BSA / AML /
Compliance Responsibilities
This position includes indirect interaction with customers via contact with branch personnel and therefore includes responsibilities relating to BSA / AML. The employee will have opportunity to examine and view information and documents produced by other employees of the Bank relating to BSA and therefore has the obligation to report activity to the BSA Officer as appropriate. The employee is responsible for understanding and following the Bank’s BSA / AML policies including elevating suspicious activity to the BSA Officer. Additionally, the employee is required to understand and follow the Bank’s compliance program.
Qualifications
4+ years compliance and / or CRA banking management experience or equivalent experience in a lending compliance related role.5+ years banking experiencePerformance Standards and Competencies Needed

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk, balance and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift, and / or move up to 10lbs and occasionally move up to 25lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus. In the performance of duties of this job the employee may be required to travel occasionally.

Travel between branches is required. Flexibility with job hours is required; late or weekend hours may be required.
