About The Position
Job Title : Neuro ICU Travel Nurse
Profession : Registered Nurse

Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Day / Night rotation, every other weekend
Hours per Shift : 12-hour shifts, 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM / 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM
Experience : 3 years of Neuro ICU experience
License : Valid state or compact license required
Certifications : BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA Certifications only)
Must-Have : Previous travel experience
Description :
This position is for a Neuro Critical Care Unit Travel Nurse.
The schedule involves rotating day and night shifts, including every other weekend.
You will work a total of 36 hours per week.
There is an estimated patient ratio of 1 : 1-2.
Floating to other units of equivalent or lower acuity may be required.
Key skills include IV start, telemetry, ventilators, and intracranial pressure monitoring.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) is preferred, specifically with Epic.
The patient population includes individuals with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subarachnoid hemorrhages, seizures, and neuromuscular diseases.
You may be involved in bedside procedures such as tracheostomy and central line placement.
It is essential to manage mechanically ventilated patients and perform invasive neuromonitoring.
Interdisciplinary support is available from various specialized teams.
Candidates must complete all required credentialing promptly.
Two professional references are required, including one from a supervisor or manager.
