We are looking for a full-time Diesel Mechanic.

This position is located onsite and is not a remote or hybrid position.

Responsibilities / Job Description :

• Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and servicing of diesel engines, trucks, loaders, forklifts, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Identify, prevent, and report mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues through diagnostic tools, troubleshoot problems efficiently, and execute necessary repairs promptly.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts and ensure availability of necessary components for repairs. Order parts when needed and manage inventory effectively.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing repairs and maintenance tasks. Ensure equipment is safe for operation according to industry standards.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance schedules, repairs performed, parts used, and any other pertinent information. Provide reports as required.
• Coordinate with other teams or departments within the lumber yard to address maintenance needs and ensure seamless operations.

Experience :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience 2 years as a diesel mechanic, preferably in an industrial or lumber yard setting.
• Class A license (Preferred but not required)
• Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and find effective solutions.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and regulations in an industrial environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members.
• Comprehensive understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and heavy equipment mechanics.
