The Planner II is responsible for facilitating and executing the annual work planning process across all nuclear energy projects within the planning horizon. This role ensures effective alignment of work priorities, resources, and schedules to achieve business objectives efficiently and cost-effectively. The Planner II works closely with stakeholders to balance workloads, optimize resource utilization, and maintain long-range planning accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of the annual work plan for all projects on the planning horizon.
- Consult with project and functional stakeholders to gather planning data, establish priorities, and adjust schedules to ensure optimal work balance and resource allocation.
- Develop and deliver a cost-effective, efficient resource plan to the scheduling team for execution.
- Monitor and optimize the long-range implementation plan to ensure adherence to business goals.
- Direct and coordinate required schedule changes based on evolving project or resource conditions.
- Facilitate monthly work plan meetings with stakeholders to review progress, address variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all planning activities support company objectives for cost control, productivity, and schedule performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Experienced in project planning, scheduling, or project controls roles.Strong understanding of work management systems, resource planning, and long-range forecasting.Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or SAP (depending on client systems).Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to coordinate across departments and drive alignment on plan deliverables.Preferred Skills
Experience in capital project planning or maintenance scheduling within energy, utilities, or industrial environments.Knowledge of levelization techniques and workload balancing.Familiarity with continuous improvement and planning process optimization.Company Description
