Sr. Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Sr Engineer with our client in the financial industry.

This is a 6-month contract to hire position.

This role is 100% remote.

Compensation : $ 100-110 per hour W2, depending on skill and experience level.

Job Description This teams supports the following products : For suitability and supervision for their compliance process – they have systems in place for checks and balances with their advisors.

Also, have systems in place where compliance teams test their advisors on a yearly basis.

Privacy and financial crimes – for privacy – retention rules, consent rules for cookies, privacy policies.

For financial crimes, they have systems / products in place o ensure the people they are providing financial services to are legitimate and ethical – no money laundering etc Facilities, safety and security – systems in place for badges, systems in place make sure HVAC works, lights on properties work Sr.

Engineer role description : Ability to design and engineer software solutions, including documenting, collaborating, and aligning with portfolio architects, solution architects, and the local team.

Strong ability to communicate, facilitate, educate within a group setting.

Strong ability to collaborate with others to solve local problems or complex design solutions both in and outside the team.

Ability to balance problem solving or working on for a variety of systems unrelated to one another.

Passion and appetite to drive technical improvements with the goal of speeding up delivery.

Assist, coach, and mentor other engineers on the team with day-to-day challenges, complex coding issues and / or problem solving.

The ability to translate and communicate complex technical issues into simple terms so other non-technical people outside of technology can understand.

Experienced in maturing devops and engineering practices.

Experience in engineering of either existing or new solutions, enterprise integrations patterns, and / or microservices architecture.

Passion for continuous learning and sharing learnings with others.

Ability to solve complex problems into sustainable and long term solutions Technical / Tool Experience 10+ years in Java, spring framework 2+ years using Openshift – must have, event driven technologies (Kafka, Rabbit) 5+ years leveraging database platforms (e.g.

SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo) 3+ years with event driven and microservices design 3+ years of data analysis, business rules, new data sourcing discovery 3+ years using GitHub, devops practices, and tools Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
