Security Guard
We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Security Guards. Responsibilities :
- Operate computer terminals, as well as Simplex Fire Systems, Cardkey Computer, License Plate Recognition program, Emergency Intercoms, Elevator Intercoms, and control switches.
- Work effectively under pressure while maintaining detail and accuracy in work products.
- Express ideas courteously and effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Read, understand, and interpret rules and regulations, including safety regulations.
- Formulate appropriate plans of action in response to various situations, considering public relations as a major concern.
- Follow and abide by all issued and / or published rules and regulations governing employee conduct.
- Work independently, establishing authority and taking initiative to correct problems or find solutions.
- Deal courteously and tactfully with the public and fellow employees.
- React calmly and quickly in emergency situations.
- Monitor and operate fixed base communications equipment as part of a security network.
- Receive and transmit messages between fixed base locations and mobile units.
- Initiate and coordinate movement of security personnel in response to both routine and emergency situations.
- Monitor electronic alarms, emergency management systems, and other warning systems.
- Provide information and assistance to the public on various subjects.
- Monitor video surveillance camera systems and initiate recording of activities as necessary.
- Prepare a variety of reports and perform other clerical duties including filing and data coding.
- Handle lost and found property, ensuring proper title and ownership before release.
- Communicate effectively on two-way radio and calm emotionally charged situations.
Essential Skills :
Proficiency in English language is required.Ability to maintain composure and make appropriate decisions in various situations.Ability to determine priorities among simultaneous requests and messages.Ability to transcribe radio and telephone messages quickly and accurately.Ability to perform assigned duties with minimal supervision.Ability to meet and deal with the public in a tactful, professional manner.Ability to accurately remember details.Ability to learn new procedures and adapt existing ones to new situations.Considerable knowledge of departmental rules and procedures.Working knowledge of pertinent laws and regulations in loss prevention and property management.Additional Skills & Qualifications :
Must complete pre-assignment security tapes and safety orientation.CPR / First Aid & AED certification required.Fire Extinguisher and response training.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Perspective, and other relevant computer programs.Completion of Verbal Judo tape series and Control Room / Dispatcher training.Optional training in flagging for special events.Why Work Here?

Work Environment :

Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $49000.00 - $50960.00 / yr.
