Consumers Energy is Michigan's largest energy provider, committed to delivering reliable, clean, and affordable energy to its customers. We are looking for a dynamic leader to oversee a multi-disciplinary team of project management professionals dedicated to delivering capital infrastructure projects across the natural gas system.

This hybrid position requires onsite days at the Parnall Office in Jackson, MI, with flexibility for other locations. The ideal candidate will bring experience managing complex gas infrastructure projects, a solid understanding of project management methodologies, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and implement standardized project management processes, tools, templates, and methodologies.
• Ensure effective cross-functional alignment and exert high-level influence across the company.
• Lead safety, quality, and project management excellence.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators for the project management function.
• Partner with senior leadership to set annual project portfolios, budgets, and timelines.
• Oversee multiple strategic initiatives from initiation to completion.
• Train, coach, and mentor senior managers in strategic breakthrough thinking and Lean maturity.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or related field with a minimum of twelve (12) years of leadership, business experience, and / or executive level consulting. (OR) Associate's degree in business, project management, or related field with a minimum of fourteen (14) years of leadership, business experience, and / or executive level consulting. (OR) High school diploma with a minimum of twelve (12) years of leadership, business experience, and / or executive level consulting.
