Responsibilities
Solves common user problems in real time, including software functionality; data communication / network troubleshooting and installation, PC and network configuration; operating systems and browser related issuesSupport end users with their computer related concerns through both on-site and remote mechanismsPerform system upgrades, new system set up, configuration and installationInstallation of software for various computer applications / programs and then routinely testing them to ensure they are functioning appropriatelyOn-going maintenance, system checks, security set up and support for existing systems and their related peripheral equipmentAbility to maintain, install and configure LANs, network cabling, network communication protocols such as TCP / IPEnsure PC protection packages are in place and operating appropriately (firewall, anti-virus, malware, etc.)Perform accurate and timely updates of tickets in the company tracking systemPrioritize production-critical issues and escalate issue(s) to the appropriate technical staffDevelop and keep up to date facility network diagramsDevelop project plans as needed and keep them up to dateWork with PRS personnel both local and remote to a location as well as I.T. staff and vendors on business-critical projects relating to a particular locationPut together and keep up to date site documentation and on-site notebooks locally at the site and in a centrally accessible file structureAssist with the maintenance of server-based applications / services to include customer / business required and infrastructure required applicationsAssist in WAN maintenance, installation, and configurationAssist in the monitoring of backup processes to ensure their successAssist in the inventory of all hardware and software resourcesTravel to both domestic and international locationsEducation / Training
Information Technology related degree or equivalent experience required.Qualifications And Experience
Required
Network experience to include LAN, network cabling and network protocols to include TCP / IPSystem configuration, maintenance, and support experienceFamiliarity with Microsoft products including Office 365Microsoft Server experienceMicrosoft Exchange Client experienceProven organization and communication skillsAbility and willingness to travel, work remotely and independentlyMust be able to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writingIdeal candidates are flexible, self-motivated, and self-managing, with a strong sense of team and the ability to also work independentlyGood customer interaction skillsSafety consciousPreferred
