About The Position

Shift : Mon-Fri 09 : 00am-03 : 00pm

Description :

Evaluate and assess students’ gross motor skills, mobility needs, and physical development.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) to support student participation in school activities.

Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.

Consult with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom.

Monitor and document students’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional input regarding physical therapy goals and outcomes.

Recommend adaptive equipment, seating systems, or mobility aids when necessary.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations regarding therapy services and documentation.

Qualifications : Education :

Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

License :

Current and valid New York State Physical Therapy License (required).

Experience :

Prior experience working with children or in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred.

Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
