Reporting to the COO, you will play a key role in shaping how our platform is seen by educators and parents across the country. This is a hands-on, creative role on a small, energetic startup team where you’ll collaborate with interns, participate in weekly culture connect calls, and have the freedom to try new ideas while building a portfolio of meaningful work.

Objectives
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to increase brand awareness and attract new users to the EdTech platform.
- Create targeted marketing campaigns to reach key demographics, such as students, educators, and parents.
- The Volunteer Video Editor will elevate Ecopreneur’s video presence, drive growth across platforms, and create content that connects with educators, students, and families. Success will be measured by milestones, quarterly rocks, and daily task execution.
- Social Growth : Increase social media engagement and YouTube channel subscribers by 20% in 2026 through consistent, high-quality video content.
- YouTube Series Build-Out : Develop one complete long-form YouTube series with 15+ videos on core topics like student stories, product tutorials, and educational trends.
- Our Story Video : Collaborate with the founders to produce a comprehensive “Our Story” video that captures Ecopreneur’s mission, values, and vision for schools and families.
Rocks (Quarterly Priorities)
Q1 : Establish a video content calendar aligned with marketing goals and campaigns; audit existing raw footage and organize it into a central content library; produce first 3 long-form YouTube videos.Q2 : Grow YouTube subscribers and engagement through consistent posting and optimized titles, tags, and thumbnails; launch the first five episodes of the YouTube series; finalize script and storyboard for the "Our Story" video.Q3 : Complete the full 15-video YouTube series with final edits; support social media with weekly short-form clips and reels; begin production of the "Our Story" video.Q4 : Release and promote the "Our Story" video across all platforms; conduct a year-end performance review of growth goals; prepare recommendations for 2027 content strategy.Day to Day Tasks
Edit and deliver short-form videos for social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) 1–2 times per week.Edit and publish one long-form YouTube video per week during the series build-out phase.Collaborate with marketing interns to ensure video content aligns with campaign messaging and posting schedules.Maintain organized folders of raw footage, edits, and final files in Ecopreneur’s shared drive.Join weekly Culture Connect calls to share updates and stay connected with the team.Track analytics for YouTube and social platforms to identify opportunities for improvement.Provide creative input for video concepts, storytelling techniques, and audience engagement strategies.The Volunteer Video Editor must bring a strong mix of technical skills, creative vision, and collaborative mindset to achieve Ecopreneur’s video growth goals. These competencies will enable them to successfully execute the milestones, rocks, and daily tasks outlined for this role.
Technical Skills
Video Editing Expertise : Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent editing software.Sound and Music Editing : Ability to balance audio levels, integrate sound effects, and select music that matches Ecopreneur’s tone.Motion Graphics Basics : Familiarity with simple motion graphics and titles for added polish.File Management : Skilled in organizing raw footage, edits, and final exports for streamlined team access.Storytelling : Strong sense of narrative flow to create emotionally engaging content for educators, students, and families.Brand Alignment : Ability to translate Ecopreneur’s mission and voice into consistent, on-brand visual messaging.Problem Solving : Resourceful in finding creative solutions when footage, time, or resources are limited.Audience Awareness : Understanding of how different audiences consume content on YouTube, Instagram, and other platforms.Strategic Skills

Experience
Video Editing : 1–2 years of experience editing for YouTube, social media, or similar platforms — through work, school, or personal projects.Portfolio of Work : Strong reel or portfolio demonstrating storytelling, pacing, and creative editing skills.Growth-Oriented Content Creation : Familiarity with optimizing videos for engagement, retention, and audience growth.Collaboration Experience : Comfortable working with small teams, interns, and leadership, even in a remote setting.Bonus : Experience in startups, nonprofits, or mission-driven organizations.Education

Physical Requirements
