Safety Manager
Responsibilities :
- Focusing 60% of the role on driver safety and compliance, with the remaining 40% split between food and occupational compliance.
- Conducting accident investigations and ensuring compliance with hours of service (HOS) and driver qualification (DQ) files.
- Managing workers' compensation, primarily for driver accidents, and collaborating with the insurance company on claims.
- Conducting new hire training during onboarding to ensure understanding of safety policies, occupational overviews, and equipment safety.
- Leading monthly SQF audits at each facility in Charlotte and Colfax, with travel throughout North and South Carolina.
- Overseeing the SQF certification process for new facilities.
Required Experience :
- Knowledge of driver and DOT safety compliance.
- Familiarity with warehouse environments, including forklift and pallet jack safety.
- At least three to five years of experience in safety.
- OSHA certifications
Preferred Experience :
Experience with food safety and SQF.

- Ability to engage trainees during training sessions.
