Position Overview : Our client is seeking a skilled Power Electronics Test Engineer to join its dynamic mixed-signal and power management team. This role focuses on bench testing and characterization of advanced power products including LDOs, DC / DC converters, battery chargers, rectifiers, wireless charging systems, ADCs, and other analog IPs.
You'll be involved in both manual and automated bench testing of new products, particularly in the wireless charging and general power IP space. The role includes building and programming automated test setups using bench equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, DMMs, and temperature chambers. Python is preferred for automation, though other scripting languages are acceptable.
Key Responsibilities : -Perform bench testing of power-related IPs (LDOs, DC / DC converters)-Build and program automated bench test setups-Execute tests across multiple devices and temperature ranges-Analyze test data to identify anomalies or out-of-spec results-Detect and document bugs through hands-on testing-Conduct manual verification of power management products-Prepare detailed test reports for internal and customer use
Qualifications : -Strong technical knowledge of power electronics and mixed-signal IPs (LDOs, DC / DC converters, battery chargers, ADCs)-Familiarity with wireless charging technologies is a plus-Hands-on experience with lab equipment : DMMs, oscilloscopes, function generators, etc.-Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred)-Experience with bench equipment programming and semiconductor testing-Strong skills in data analysis and technical reporting-Self-motivated, team-oriented, and quick to adapt
