Clinical Therapist for Early Psychosis Intervention Clinic

We are looking for a skilled psychotherapist, with experience and passion for severe mental illness, to become part of the EPIC-NOLA team as EPIC develops a hub-and-spoke model for coordinated specialty care services across the state of Louisiana. This therapist will provide behavioral health assessments, therapeutic services, crisis intervention, and / or other identified clinical services appropriate to stabilize and improve functioning of clients experiencing their first-episode of psychosis via telehealth for a new spoke first-episode psychosis clinic.

• Knowledge of the fundamentals of first-episode psychosis interventions
• Ability to provide telehealth services to individuals and to groups
• Ability to clinical services including behavioral health assessments, individual, family, and group therapy sessions
• Ability to conduct psycho-educational groups for clients or family members as deemed appropriate, as well as learn different group therapy modalities when appropriate
• Ability to provide of crisis intervention services to the client and / or family
• Ability to provision of consultation and support to service providers (i.e. school staff, case managers, etc.)
• Ability to develop individual educational / employment goals, defining steps and timelines towards reaching those goal s
• Ability to provide outreach to hospital emergency departments, psychiatric hospitals, developmental disabilities service providers, PCPs, behavioral health service providers, and Mobile Crisis service providers to inform them of FEP services
• Case Management services as required to link clients to needed services beyond those offered by the agency
• Ability to travel to neighboring communities
• Master's Degree in either counseling or social work
• 2 years of clinical experience beyond graduate school
• Licensed in the State of Louisianan with an LCSW or LPC
• Experience in the mental health evaluation of adolescents and young adults
• Experience with psychotic disorders
• Interest in research
• Training in multiple areas of psychotherapy including but not limited to cognitive behavior therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, supportive therapy
