Staff Accountant (Payroll Experience)

Position Summary :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of general accounting principles, proficiency in financial reporting, and a background in payroll responsibilities. Knowledge of job costing concepts is a significant plus, especially for those coming from project-based or service-oriented industries.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards (GAAP).
• Collaborate with project managers and operational staff on financial tracking and reporting.
• (Bonus) Utilize job costing knowledge to allocate costs accurately across projects or departments.
• Support external audit and tax preparation activities.
