GENERAL JOB SUMMARY :
Kirkwood Community College is seeking a part-time Adjunct Instructor of Technical Writing to teach in-person on the Cedar Rapids Main Campus during the Fall 2025 semester. Technical Writing (ENG-108) provides students with concepts, principles, and practical experience in writing and analyzing documents relevant to business, science (including health occupations), and industry. This is a Liberal Arts transfer course that fulfills the Composition II requirement. In order to be considered, applicants must meet the minimum qualifications.
This is a full 16-week semester appointment , running from August 25 to December 12, 2025 .

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
At least 12 graduate hours in a combination of English, Communication, Creative Writing, Journalism, Literature, Speech, Technical Writing, or English Education coursework.
