Job descriptionMinimum of 1 year of relevant experience BLS (Basic Life Support) MA-C (Medical Assistant-Certified) Proficient in Epic EHR system for accurate patient charting and documentation. Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height / weight, and pulse oximetry. Perform 12-lead EKG / ECG tests and assist with pulmonary procedures such as nebulizer treatments. Administer intramuscular injections and immunizations safely and efficiently. Collect and handle patient specimens, including sputum samples, with proper labeling. Conduct patient rooming, prepare for exams, and document medical history, medications, and allergies. Manage insurance verification, authorization forms, and pharmacy refill requests. Perform follow-up phone calls to patients to support continuity of care. Maintain clean and organized clinical environment, preparing and sanitizing equipment as needed. Adhere to safety protocols, patient confidentiality, and professional standards within the outpatient pulmonary clinic.
