Operations & Management Consultant Manager - SES
This position spends the majority of the time engaged in supervisory responsibilities. This includes communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees in addition to planning and directing employees' work. The incumbent has the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such action. The incumbent will also be required to develop performance expectations, meet with staff regularly to discuss performance, complete performance reviews, maintain vacation and work schedules, ensure proper coverage, and complete timesheets. Ensures all staff complete required training and are offered additional training. This position is in the Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Section of the Bureau of Communicable Disease, Division of Disease Control and Protection. The incumbent will be responsible for multiple aspects of operations related to field services for the program across the state of Florida. Monitors the performance of the STD program clinical, surveillance, and field operations activities through established quality assurance guidelines. Assures that the statewide goals and objectives of the STD program are achieved and maintained within assigned areas. Coordinates all STD programmatic activities, including implementing policies and procedures to facilitate identifying, investigating, preventing, and controlling incidents or situations that may endanger public health. Guides the quality assurance process for local STD control programs. This includes ensuring routine review of all programs, providing useful feedback and appropriate training, and identifying and sharing best practices. Provides technical assistance to area STD Programs and STD clinic services on all matters related to billing and accounts receivable policies. Evaluate, identify, and respond to specific needs in collaboration with local county health department STD managers, administration, community-based organizations, and related business units at an organizational and individual development level. Serves as the STD Program's primary liaison with the HIV / AIDS Prevention Program to expand program collaboration and improve performance outcomes related to Partner Services for clients infected with HIV. Monitors and provides technical assistance and guidance to area STD Program Managers to expand formalized service level agreements between County Health Department STD Programs and non-county health department providers to provide STD services. Monitors and provides technical assistance to increase the proportion of persons reported with HIV who are assigned to area STD Programs for Partner Services. Assumes lead role on Congenital Syphilis Review Board meetings and is lead congenital syphilis quality assurance reviewer for all area STD programs. Performs other related duties as assigned.
