Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant will support a cluster of five properties (Lake Nona Wave, Courtyard Lake Nona, Residence Inn Orlando Lake Nona, Springhill Suites Orlando Lake Nona, and Aloft Lake Nona). This role is responsible for managing assigned financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The Senior Accountant will partner with Finance and property leadership teams, ensuring sound financial practices, continuous process improvements and supporting operational success.

Essential Functions :
Financial Reporting : Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Account Reconciliation : Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.Accounts Payable / Receivable : Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment posting, and collections.Budgeting and Forecasting : Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations.Internal Controls : Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies to safeguard the hotel's assets.Payroll Processing : Oversee payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.Tax Compliance : Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax returns, including sales tax, payroll tax, and other required filings.Financial Analysis : Conduct in-depth financial analyses to support decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.Audit Support : Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.Qualifications
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.Advanced Degrees : Some positions may prefer or require a Master's Degree for advanced expertise.Industry Experience : Proven experience as an accountant in the hotel or hospitality industry.Financial Management : Experience in managing daily financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and overseeing payroll.Accounting Principles : Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.Attention to Detail : Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Regulatory Compliance : Understanding of financial policies and regulations.Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems (e.g., ProfitSword, Oracle, or hotel PMS and POS systems like Opera / Micros)Excellent communication skills and a strong comfortability presenting to owners.This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee.
