The Head of Payments & Partnership Modernization will drive the modernization of legacy payment systems, orchestrate vendor and internal development efforts, and ensure architectural alignment across Valley's banking ecosystem. This role will lead the transformation of Valley's payment infrastructure and embedded banking platforms, enabling scalable, secure, and API-first solutions that support real-time payments, FBO accounts, and strategic partner integrations. This role will lead strategic initiatives to modernize legacy systems, integrate emerging technologies, and build high-impact partnerships that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and revenue growth. Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Develop and execute the modernization roadmap for payments and partner banking platforms aligning initiatives with Valley's enterprise architecture and transformation goals
• Serve as the executive sponsor for modernization programs including RTP, FedNow, and embedded finance capabilities
• Lead the selection, integration, and lifecycle management of payment technologies and partner banking platforms
• Oversee interoperability with customer-facing systems via open APIs and digital channels

Ensure modular architecture that reduces reliance on incumbent core vendors
