The Epic Training and Informatics Analyst is responsible for designing, delivering, and maintaining effective training programs for users of the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system. The trainer collaborates with implementation teams, subject matter experts, and end users to develop tailored learning experiences that align with organizational goals and workflows
Key Responsibilities :
- Author and / or maintain training documentation, tip sheets, and collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs
- Educates and supports clinicians in leveraging technology to a diverse audience including physicians, nurses, and administrative personnel.
- Act as a liaison between Epic users, department leaders, subject matter experts and Application team on training needs and programs

Position Summary

The Trainer collaborates with implementation teams, subject-matter experts, and end users to develop tailored learning experiences that align with organizational goals and workflows. Through classroom instruction, virtual training, and hands-on support, the Epic Trainer fosters user confidence and promotes best practices in system utilization.
Essential Duties
Develop and conduct training sessions, both virtual and in person, for Epic electronic medical record (EMR) software for new and existing staff, including creating course materials and job aids tailored to the clinical and administrative staff.Provide hands-on support during Epic system activations, upgrades, and go-lives and deliver training on system updates, enhancements and new clinical applications, which may include validating training materials and environments for Epic applications.Train a diverse audience including physicians, nurses, and administrative personnel.Author and / or maintain training documentation, tip sheets, and collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs and tailor content accordinglyConduct one-on-one sessions, create recorded trainings, Lunch & Learns, Epic monthly newsletters and, Super User education, while maintaining a regular presence in clinical settings to reinforce training and provide ongoing supportAct as a liaison between Epic users, Human Resources, department leaders, subject matter experts and Clinical Application team or vendors on training needs and programs.Analyze and document software issues, recommend solutions, and follow up on resolutionsMaintain current Epic certifications and stay current with Epic software updates and operational workflows.Monitor training outcomes and onboarding effectiveness during the orientation period, identify trends and skill gaps, and recommend improvements to support the successful integration of new employees and optimize performance.Other Duties

Education : High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.Work Experience : 2 years coordinating and delivering relevant computer based and / or in-person training for adults required. Experience training in a healthcare setting is preferred. Previous experience in a healthcare setting as subject matter expert preferred.Special Training, Certification or Licensure : Obtain and maintain Epic Credentialed level of expertise in Epic-based presentation(s) and competency exam(s) within 6 months of hire.Salary Range : $77.572.56 - $102,583.71
