About The Position

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Hospitalist to provide inpatient coverage at a facility in Redding, California. This is a locum tenens assignment.

Key Details :

Location :  Redding, CA

Setting :  Inpatient Pediatric Hospitalist

Dates :  July 24 - 29, 2025 - Ongoing

Schedule :  Inpatient coverage with on-call responsibilities

Procedures Required :  Pediatric resuscitation, intubation, lumbar punctures

EMR :  Cerner Care B

Patient Volume & Scope :

Average admissions per day : 4 pediatric patients (range 3-5) and 7 newborn / nursery patients (range 3-15)

Facility does NOT have PICU (covered by neonatologists)

Pediatric hospitalist provides in-person evaluation or phone consults based on ER physician triage

Attends to newborns admitted to the well-baby nursery; neonatologists attend all high-risk deliveries

Emergency codes managed by emergency medicine physicians

Requirements :

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics (within 3 years) — Required

Active CA medical license — Required

Clean malpractice history — Required

DEA certification (or willing to obtain) — Required
