Program Manager
Join a leading industry expert in on-prem certifications, driving over $2 billion in US Federal Sales Revenue. As a part of our efficient team of Program Managers, you will contribute significantly to aligning certification project outcomes with business objectives, ensuring products meet necessary compliance standards for US Government, Federal agencies, and international standards bodies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple complex certification projects from initiation through completion, encompassing scope, schedule, budget, metrics, and risk management.
- Develop and execute detailed certification program plans that include critical paths, financials, resources, material requirements, impacts, and mitigation strategies.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to integrate security and trust features into new product releases.
- Maintain deep knowledge of certification processes such as FIPS 140-3 and Common Criteria.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance certification efficiency and operational excellence.
- Manage communications between business units, government entities, and third-party labs.
- Track project progress, promptly address issues, escalate as needed, and ensure timely certification completion.
- Support PMO activities including meeting facilitation, note-taking, and follow-up on action items.
- Collaborate with finance on project status and funding.
- Utilize quantitative analysis to guide decision-making and process refinement.
Essential Skills
Extensive program / project management experience, preferably in certification or compliance programs.Strong understanding of product and system development life cycles.Experience engaging with business units to discuss certification requirements.Proven ability to prioritize and balance multiple programs in a rapidly changing environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and program management tools such as JIRA, Smartsheet, and SharePoint.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.PMP certification.Prior experience with product certifications including FIPS 140-3 and Common Criteria.Experience in legal contracts and Statement of Work (SOW) development.Experience leading cross-functional teams without direct reporting lines.Strong problem-solving skills.Knowledge of Agile program management methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.Experience with vendor management.Familiarity with networking or security.Experience with Microsoft List and Power BI.Work Environment
Hybrid work environment with two days in the office (Tuesday and Thursday) located in Morrisville. Expect a dynamic and fast-paced setting requiring adaptability and proactive engagement.
Job Type & Location
This is a long term contract position based out of Durham, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
