ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To develop, implement and monitor occupational health and safety policy, programs and procedures
Comply with current health and safety legislation and / or regulations with the objective of ensuring that all reasonable and proper measures are taken to protect the safety and health of learners, staff and visitors.
To increase health and safety awareness at all levels within the organization.
To investigate and report on all serious / critical personal injury accidents occurring to employees and / or visitors to the appropriate senior staff, and to assist in the investigation of all accidents / incidents.
To investigate and report on complaints of hazardous working conditions to the Plant Manager and / or appropriate staff.
To respond to employees safety concerns.
To conduct, as necessary, the safety inspection of the facility.
To assist the company's occupational health and safety committees.
COMPETENCIES
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Execution (results-oriented)
Must have strong verbal and writing skills along with strong communication skills. Must be able to speak, read, and write in English; Spanish a plus.
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Minimum 40 hours per week, and minimum 80 hours bi-weekly

Pay Details : $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
