Summary of Position
The Sales Engineer & Project Manager serves as a key liaison between customers, engineering, and productionmanaging projects from concept through completion. This hybrid combines technical sales, quoting, and relationship management with direct coordination of custom manufacturing projects. Responsibilities
Customer & Sales Support
- Serve as the support and primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, ensuring responsiveness and technical accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide design recommendations, material selections, and manufacturability insights.
- Partner with leadership to identify and pursue new business opportunities and strengthen long-term customer relationships.
- Conduct plant tours, customer visits, and technical presentations as needed.
Project Management
Lead project planning, tracking, and communication from order entry through delivery.Monitor timelines, budgets, and quality expectations assuring initiative-taking communication of any risks or changes.Coordinate prototype builds, first-article approvals, and ongoing production transitions.Facilitate internal project meetings and maintain accurate documentation in ERP or CRM systems.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Production to ensure alignment of scope, timing, and customer expectations.Support the estimating and scheduling process with accurate and timely information.Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.Requirements
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or Business (or equivalent technical experience).37 years of experience in a manufacturing or custom fabrication environment.Proven success in technical sales, customer service, or project management roles.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, casting, metal fabrication, or similar).Ability to interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and specifications (SolidWorks preferred).Proficiency with ERP / CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Preferred Attributes
Experience in a small-to-mid-sized, family-owned, or custom manufacturing company.Knowledge of ISO or other quality management systems.Mechanical aptitude and firsthand problem-solving mindset.Customer-focused attitude with a We Make It Happen approach.Competency

Work Environment
This position operates primarily in an office and plant environment. Occasional travel to customer sites may be required.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands / fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The position may occasionally require lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 lbs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM.
