Overview
Leidos is seeking a Senior Arc Flash Electrical Engineer to support our utility customers across the country. In this role you will provide engineering support for new and existing electrical / power systems, and conduct and / or provide oversight for arc flash studies of varying size and complexity.

Primary Responsibilities
- Perform planning and evaluation of new and existing electrical / power systems across a wide range of facilities and associated equipment
- Perform studies for power systems modeling, power flow, short circuit, protection devices coordination, arc flash, and related engineering tasks for medium and low voltage power distribution (35 kV and less)
- Oversee field data collection efforts for lower voltage facilities and build engineering models for the purpose of performing arc flash analysis
Primary Requirements
PE or ability to obtain professional license is highly preferred10+ years of experience in conducting Arc Flash Hazard Analysis using NFPA 70E and IEEE standardsAbility to use Arc Flash software, such as Cyme, Synergi, WindMil, SKM, or ETAP (will also accept other related software), to produce analysis reports and conduct report reviewsMust have conducted Arc Flash Analysis (from conception to execution) and provided direct supervisory oversight of the projectMust possess experience in the most current electrical engineering principles and practicesRequires in-depth knowledge of NFPA 70E and applicable OSHA standards, working knowledge of the NEC, and demonstrated working experience on or around energized equipment in an industrial setting including proper PPE in order to ensure a safe work environment and personnel safetyExhibit excellent communication skills to respond to electrical safety questions and perform program presentationsWorking knowledge and proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications to include : MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office and MS Power PointWork Location : All candidates located in the U.S. will be considered.
Pay Range
Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
