Position Title : Security Assistant

The Joint Staff Security Office (JSSO) supports an operational environment that ranges from unclassified through the Top Secret (TS) / SCI level. These divisions provide various security services that include, but are not limited to, managing personnel clearances, in / out processing of personnel, SCI Facility (SCIF) management and accreditation, collateral space management and designation, protection of classified information, security oversight and inspections, managing security violations / deviations, classification management, marking, and safeguarding, Contract Security Classification Specification DD-254 management, and Security Education and Training.

Security Assistant provides administrative security support to the JSSO in the following disciplines : INFOSEC, PERSEC, PHYSEC, COMSEC, OPSEC, Insider Threat (InT), and Foreign Disclosure. The Security Assistant positions include full time and part-time positions to fill shifts 365 days a year and 24 hours by seven days a week. Part-time positions will fill weekends and holiday shifts.

Location : Building NH-95 Naval Station Norfolk, VA

Security Clearance Level : Top Secret / SCI eligible

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide administrative security support to the JSSO in the accomplishment of the Performance Work Statement's supporting tasks :

Communications Security (COMSEC) : provide administrative security services in support of : Operating the JS COMSEC account and support JS users with COMSEC material; COMSEC Daily Operations, Inventory and Accountability of COMSEC Material, Support Local Elements and Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) Operating Accounts, Local Element Training, Implement and Operate Distributed INFOSEC Accounting System (DIAS) and KMI / Management Client (MGC), Inspection Program, Semi-annual Inventory and Report, COMSEC Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), and Emergency Destruction Plans (EDPs)

Foreign Disclosure Support : P rovide support to the JSSO in application of DIA, DOD and JS security policy, procedures, systems, and programs in the functional area of foreign disclosure processing for the purpose of validating disclosure requirements and support Foreign Disclosure management by performing the following tasks :
