Senior Vice President (SVP) Controller
Compensation : $250,000 - $280,000 USD + Bonus + Benefits
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Vice President (SVP) Controller to join our finance leadership team within the CPG industry. This role is critical for overseeing all aspects of financial management for a publicly traded company, with a strong emphasis on SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and regulatory adherence.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader with deep expertise in GAAP, public company filings, and internal controls, who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Oversee preparation and analysis of financial statements in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Manage SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K reports.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain SOX compliance.
- Drive key finance projects such as standard costing, intercompany standardization, and ERP implementation support.
- Provide strategic financial insights to the executive team for informed decision-making.
- Lead integration efforts for acquisitions, carve-outs, and divestitures.
- Manage annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Support CFO in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA required.Minimum 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership.Public company experience is mandatory.Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced analytical abilities.Benefits
