Job description :
The Maintenance and Reliability Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, scheduling, assigning and reviewing maintenance work; perform a variety of responsible duties related to the supervision of maintenance activities; as well as train, supervise and evaluate the work of employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Implement new equipment technologies for manufacturing and quality improvements including equipment upgrades, process technologies, tooling, and manufacturing techniques.
- Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, enforcing rules, and assisting in decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
- Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings internally and externally.
- Participate in purchasing maintenance materials and outside technical services in accordance with established company protocol and procedures.
- Investigate equipment failures and unexpected breakdowns.
- Provide corrective actions to improve reliability and performance.
- Supervise PM and PD (preventive and predictive maintenance) plans with the use of automated software packages.
- Monitor parts requests to ensure adequate inventory and cost efficiencies are being met according to departmental budget.
- Lead CI (continuous improvement) tasks reporting back to management with status updates.
Skills :
Able to read wiring diagrams, electrical / mechanical / pneumatic / hydraulic schematics, and ladder / function block logic.Working knowledge of industrial PCs and PLCs (Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff Twin Cat) and electric circuitry consisting of contractors, relays, main voltage / control voltage, limit switches and proximity sensorsEducation and / or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.2 to 3 years’ experience in supervisory position.Experience in working with ABB robots, preferred.Experience in highly automated environments, preferred.
