Nurse Manager - Care at Home

As a Care at Home Nurse Manager, you will play an essential role in the practice and delivery of patient care. You will supervise all aspects of personnel management and development while maintaining adherence to regulatory standards. This position requires communication skills, compassion, empathy, patience and a team mindset. A caregiver in this role works days from 8 : 00 a.m. 5 : 00 p.m.

A caregiver who excels in this role will :

• Manage the operation and practice of professional nursing and delivery of nursing care on an assigned unit.
• Establish clinical direction of nursing care, provide clinical supervision and maintain quality outcomes and patient care standards.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care.
• Develop quality initiatives and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
• Supervise caregivers and promote development.
• Maintain adherence to JCAHO and other regulatory standards.
• Develop and monitor budgets, approve purchases and establish / revise inventory quotes.
• Analyze personnel structure and determine staffing needs.
• Evaluate performance, conduct selection and termination processes and develop strategic plans.
• Participate in clinical nursing research and support foundation research activities.
