Job Family Description

Administrative and business services professionals provide various office and location support activities. They identify, enhance, and follow specific processes and procedures to maximize the efficiencies of the business to which the support is being provided, and ensure the correct functioning of facilities, office and / or business support services.

Discipline Description

Productivity personnel establish quantitative measurements and techniques for driving improvements and efficiencies. These personnel apply productivity improvement processes and methods involving process mapping, cost / time profiles, and statistical process management, and Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques.

Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include :

Develop facilitation and technical skills to help organizations to solve quality and productivity business problems using process data.

Develop skills to act as a change agent ensuring continuous improvement processes are deployed by all levels of employees and become ingrained throughout the organization.

  • Develop leadership skills to effectively challenge, influence and build consensus at all levels of the organization.
  • Develop additional leadership skills to directly influence cross-business strategic initiatives, growth projects, improvement initiatives, and similar high impact projects.
  • Responsible for developing facilitation skills for continuous improvement projects from inception to completion, including working with the project teams to communicate event results.
  • Learn how to identify, establish and deliver measurable processes for continuous improvement and regularly evaluate degrees of success.
  • Develop training skills to educate employees on process improvement philosophy and application; seek, share and institutionalize best practices.
  • Drive best practices in the development of metrics and performance measurements while facilitating events.
  • Use facilitation and training skills to implement the continuous improvement methodology.
  • Support the deployment of continuous improvement initiatives by facilitating the achievement of significant projects and learn how to develop the organization's ability to efficiently execute improvement projects using process improvement tools.
  • Collaborate with SRNS Training Department to develop curriculum and deliver classroom training on continuous improvement methodologies and tools in a classroom environment.
  • Work with organizations to develop and drive project identification and prioritization process.
  • Work with business / process owners to complete high level value stream / process maps and identify areas of opportunity.

Ideal candidates can understand complex systems to suggest unique technical challenges and process improvements. Expected to deliver results in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Understands and applies advanced knowledge of manufacturing concepts, Lean principles, and techniques in engineering / manufacturing.

Candidates should have the ability to manage projects across organizations, tailor work scope, and maintain schedules for proposed projects.

Accepts complex tasks and drive projects to completion independently by delivering customer-expected results.

Ability to cooperate with Front Line Managers, Operators, Planners, or Engineers performing related phases of the technical work. Be cognizant of the work performed in other projects in field of

Technology for best practice improvement.

Apply technical knowledge toward the reduction of the cost and improvement of the process where possible and incorporate new ideas resulting from engineering / scientific progress in the field.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE) in a relevant role, OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least two years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field
  • Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered

    Security Clearance Information

    SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
