Regional Outreach and Support Specialist (Military Community Services)
Location : Remote with up to 80% travel within assigned state / region
- Must be 50 miles or less to a Military Installation in New Mexico to be considered
We are seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Military Field Consultant to support awareness and accessibility of military community services. This role involves extensive travel within your assigned state or region to participate in events, collaborate with military and civilian partners, and connect service members and their families with essential programs and resources.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of military culture, excellent relationship-building skills, and a passion for improving the quality of life for military families through community engagement and support coordination.
Key Responsibilities :
Travel throughout the assigned state / region to represent and promote military family support programs at community events, briefings, and outreach initiatives.Provide service members and their families with information, referrals, and support related to a broad range of services, including :Relocation assistanceNon-medical individual and family counselingPersonal and family life educationPersonal Financial Management (PFM) servicesDeployment support and transition assistanceExceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) servicesChild abuse and domestic violence prevention and responseMorale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) programsAttend and participate in military and civilian community meetings to increase program visibility and resource awareness.Identify gaps in available services and recommend actionable solutions in collaboration with Military OneSource, DoD representatives, Joint Force HQ, and civilian agencies.Facilitate and support collaboration between military units, commands, staff, volunteers, and local service providers to enhance coordination and outreach.Develop and deliver briefings, presentations, and training sessions to promote understanding of available resources (with Government approval).Maintain and update a digital repository of state-specific family program resources and services.Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, as needed.Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with service members, families, and partners.Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree OR a minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.At least 5-20 years of combine experience , including :A minimum of 5 years of military experience or deep familiarity with military life and cultureAt least 4 years in roles involving military service programs, marketing, recruiting, education, counseling, or similar relationship-based work
