Patient Registrar Days, and Rotating Weekends and Holidays (8 : 00am- 4 : 00pm)

You will be responsible to schedule and confirm day-to-day appointments for a variety of Radiology exams using a computerized system, providing response to patients, preparing patients for their procedures, verifying insurance, requesting missing information, maintaining insurance data & adhering to healthcare unit policies. Register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments. Check-In at arrival. Receives calls through phone queue and also makes outgoing calls to referring facilities for faxed orders. Familiarity with radiology terminologies. Most importantly, you will be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience.

This is a full time Patient Registrar position, days, Monday-Friday (8 : 00am-4 : 00pm), and rotating weekends and holidays, at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Hospital located in Bronxville, NY.

Preferred Criteria

• Knowledge of hospital procedures, routines, regulations and medical terminology.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range : $32.70-$40.55 / Hourly
