Job Title : Prognostics & Health Management (PHM) Engineer - LiftSystem

Working Pattern : Full time

Working location : Indianapolis, IN / Hybrid - 3 Office Days / Week

This is an exciting opportunity to work with cross functional teams whilst advising management on the status of work and overcoming potential production obstacles. The LiftSystem EHM-SDI team is seeking a Prognostics & Health Management (PHM) Engineer. Engine Health Management - System Design Integration is a Lifecycle Engineering sub-capability in the Engineering for Services that leads PHM system definition and integration for new products, develops diagnostics and predictive algorithms, analyzes and models in-service attributes related to the Engine and Equipment Health, manages PHM trigger levels, and provides service data analysis to assist event investigations and root cause analysis of reliability and safety issues.

What You Will Be Doing

• Developing algorithms and techniques to detect and predict imminent system-level failures such as performance and control, pneumatic, vibration, oil and fuel systems, and component lifing
• Working with LiftSystem Informatics to ensure data availability / quality metrics are adequate for lifing calculations, including integrating data between ADVISe / Maximo and addressing data issues with partner OEMs, and maintaining the database
• Performing system-level analysis to understand the LiftSystem in-service behavior to support engineering investigations including Red Top Investigations and Safety Alert Reports
• Providing customer interface for in-service and PHM-related issues, including delivering technical presentations and publishing reports documenting engineering analysis
• Supporting LiftSystem component, module and flight testing to assist in maturation of PHM algorithms
• Collaborating with other LiftSystem teams and the EHM engineering capability to share best practices and develop knowledge management approaches (processes, tools and methods)
