Description :
We are seeking a dedicated Home Health Occupational Therapist.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with adult patients in home health settings.
Skills in activities of daily living, cardiac rehabilitation, edema massage, and feeding techniques are required.
Experience in splinting, TENS, ultrasound, orthotics, and standardized assessments is necessary.
You will be responsible for joint mobilization, developing a home exercise program, and providing patient / family education.
Safety and injury prevention practices should be prioritized.
You will also conduct evaluation tools and documentation for services provided.
Knowledge of skilled home care and experience with Medicare and commercial insurance is advantageous.
You will perform a minimum of 6 skilled visits per day.
Patients may include those recovering from surgery, cardiac issues, and various medical conditions.
An independent practice is required, and a valid driver's license and personal vehicle are necessary for home visits.
Candidates must be COVID vaccinated or possess an exemption form on file.
Flu vaccinations are required or a declination must be on file, with mandatory mask-wearing while at work.
Charting experience, preferably in Cerner, is desirable.
This role includes both adult and geriatric patient populations.
