Shift : 12-hour Days

Schedule : Every other weekend & some holidays required

Unit Overview

Pediatric Surgical Inpatient Unit

Caring for pediatric patients in an acute surgical setting

EPIC charting system preferred

Qualifications

Active New York RN License

BLS (required) – must be current or eligible for recertification

2 years of recent experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center

Experience in a hospital of comparable size and acuity

EPIC experience preferred

Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within past 2 years)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills required

Must meet compliance : legal right to work in the U.S., pass pre-employment health clearance, background check, and drug screening

No prior suspension / investigation of professional license or active liability claims

Duties

Provide comprehensive pediatric nursing care with minimal orientation and supervision

Perform nursing assessments in a high-acuity pediatric setting

Deliver safe, evidence-based care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
