Psychiatric Nurse Navigator

Job Summary:

The Psychiatric Nurse Navigator will support the quality of care for the psychiatric admissions throughout the hospital. This RN will assess patient admission criteria, legal status, assist with streamlining processes for admission, and support care during their stay and discharge process. They will function as an expert resource and work collaboratively with the psychiatric, medical and other multidisciplinary teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered RN required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or healthcare-related field, three (3) years post licensure care RN experience in psychiatry/behavioral health OR an AAS in Nursing and five (5) years post licensure RN experience in psychiatry/behavioral health required. Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills required. CPR-BLS certification is required at the time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in an inpatient psychiatric unit.
