Bricco Excavating CO, LLC is seeking to hire a Heavy Equipment / Truck Mechanic to join our excavating team in the Oak Park, MI region.

Heavy Equipment / Truck Mechanic
We are looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment / Truck Mechanic to maintain a fleet of late model medium to heavy duty trucks and construction equipment.
The Mechanic will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs to company diesel and gas powered vehicles and equipment.
Maintenance and repairs would take place in our newly constructed high bay shop ad well as in the field.
Job Type : Full Time (5 Days a week, Weekends Off)
Pay $40.00 to $60.00 (Pay will depend on Qualifications and Skill Level)

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Responsible for preventative maintenance tasks on company equipment vehicles, trucks and trailers
- Preventative maintenance including tires, wheels, brakes, air systems, starting systems, electrical systems, suspensions and emissions
- Use computerized testing equipment to test, diagnose, and repair problems with vehicles and equipment
- Disassemble units, reassemble units, and replace nonfunctioning parts
- Conduct routine cleaning, lubrication, and servicing of heavy-duty vehicles to extend their lifespan
- Maintain records of serviced vehicles and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Drive to job sites promptly and safely
- Report any damaged or faulty equipment to management team for timely action
Role Requirements
- Valid drivers license (CDL Required with Air brake Endorsement)
- Clean Driving Record
- Must be able to pass drug test in accordance with local law / regulations
- 3 to 5 years of experience with heavy equipment and diesel mechanics / hydraulics
- Must be able to perform strenuous work in various working conditions including the lifting of heavy objects
- Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment mechanics
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management
- Ability to work independently, with accuracy and in accordance with company safety and quality standards
- Welding experience is a plus
