Job Duties
Position Summary : Accounts Payable Manager - Office of Family Health Services
The Accounts Payable Manager supports the business operations of the Office of Family Health Services by managing professional accounting work of considerable complexity within the agency's fiscal office. This position oversees the general accounting division and ensures efficient, compliant, and accurate financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Reconciliations & Compliance : Ensure timely and accurate reconciliations of accounts payable activities; maintain compliance with state and federal accounting regulations and agency policies.
Reporting & Analysis : Prepare management and financial reports to support decision-making and monitor fiscal health.
Error Resolution : Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, ensuring integrity of financial data.
Process Improvement : Continuously evaluate accounting systems, procedures, and workflows; develop and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Billing & Distribution : Oversee accurate and prompt distribution of central billings and payments.
Workload Management : Assess workloads, prioritize tasks, and manage staffing assignments to maintain optimal performance.
Supervision : Direct and mentor senior fiscal professionals, technicians, and support staff; provide training, performance feedback, and professional development guidance.
